Jump On It Metaplex is designed to rebuild what was lost — and reimagine what’s possible. A first-of-its-kind cultural and economic ecosystem, the Metaplex will unite a sports complex, school, tech & film studio, shopping plaza, amphitheater, farm and housing — creating a self-sustaining community where culture, creativity, and opportunity intersect. Austin’s Black economy has never fully formed, however, the potential infrastructure, talent, and history exists! What’s missing is a unifying, Black-owned center of gravity — a space that brings those elements together. That’s exactly where the Jump On It Metaplex will make history.

The Problem

Displacement and gentrification: Longtime Black Austin residents and businesses have been priced out, shrinking any potential physical footprint of a Black economy.
Lack of centralized space: There’s no single, large-scale Black-owned commercial or cultural district anchoring the economy — yet.
Austin has one of the highest levels of income inequality in Texas — and that gap is especially stark for Black residents.
While Austin celebrates diversity publicly, Black culture often gets underfunded or sidelined in arts, media, and city planning

How It Affects Black Youth:
They’re separated from the community fabric that once supported cultural identity, mentorship, and belonging. Many grow up without strong cultural institutions, neighborhood elders, or nearby family ties. This leads to a loss of identity, cultural disconnection, and diminished access to opportunities. These are the key ingredients that lead to unsuccessful life paths.

The Solution

Implements cultural restoration & community belonging
Anchors a Black-owned business ecosystem and keeps wealth circulating inside the community
Propels the community into the film and tech industries through projects that lead directly to career placement and entrepreneurship
Offers a unified space for the arts as a hub for intimate gatherings to large outdoor festivals
Gives the youth true identity, foundation and genuine eldership through multiple programs & youth sports
Provides health, wellness and sustainable food access
Safe place and venue for all community needs

The Jump On It Metaplex aims to be a singular location that becomes a successful district for Black and underserved residents in the Austin, TX area. The actual size, programs and resources will be contingent on our fundraising campaign. The mandatory baseline goal will be $100 Million raised over the next 8 – 10 years.
